Members and players.......... please extend thoughts and sympathies to our friend and fellow player Paula Truman who is dealing with the death of her sister this past Thursday. Her e-mail address is:
Players and members, please take note that in order to participate in our tournaments, you must maintain USRA membership. Our tournaments must be sanctioned by the USRA and playing or participating in these events with lapsed or expired membership status places you, the host club and more importantly, the tournament director at substantial risk. Please understand that if a player who is not a member in good standing is allowed to play or participate, the liability coverage provided by the sanction will be nullified. Not just for you the lapsed member, but everyone in the event. This is a very serious and unfair burden to place upon those that choose to volunteer their time and effort to put these events together. If you cannot prove current member status, you will not be allowed to play......... no exceptions.
Also, we have had a few occasions where players have entered and played, but not paid the entry fee(s). We have had players enter and not show up or even call to inform the director that they will not be able to come. These players will not be allowed to enter future events until the entry fees are paid.
